FULL CIRCLE

I mean, how crazy is this? my first ever post as a blogger was on this blog, dated November 7 2008! I left this website and moved to a new one in 2011 because my boyfriend at the time had designed a custom blog for me on wordpress, one that looked a lot more pro than this, obvs. It was great, I mean look at the "design" of this one haha. A few years after that, he designed yet another one and we moved to an even nicer blog space. The thing with custom blogs is you need to keep up with programming and hosting and what not, which I know nothing about, so when we broke up, I was left with this complicated virtual thing that I had to up keep. Thank goodness I had Justine (my intern) at the time, to help me keep track of it all. I had a programmer who lived in Shanghai who was typically a wechat message away for any back-end emergencies. Basically, long boring story short, I somehow managed to cancel and delete both blogs which housed everything I posted from 2011-2019 Yup, all gone. In the year that followed I had someone (Amy from Boston) who helped me create a new website on squarespace, she had it set up all nice. Strange enough, I haven't been able to write in it. I must have delevoped some sort of PTSD with these blogs and in the back of my mind worried it would one day fail me. Or that I would fail myself and lose everything again. Fast forward to today, I've been feeling the urge to write again and a bright idea to just go back to what I know (blogspot) brought me back here! The great thing is, other than the photos not showing, the posts are still here and now here I am, on my phone, writing this. Back to basics. Just me, what I know, and you. Whoever you may be.
